PERSONAL STORIES AT THE HEART OF THE VISIT
The IBCC combines the Chadwick Centre exhibition, the 31-metre Memorial Spire, Walls of Names and ten acres of landscaped Peace Gardens. Its interpretation places individual stories at the centre — aircrew, ground crew, support staff and civilians.
The exhibition is ticketed, while access to the memorial and Peace Gardens is free. Many visitors allow several hours because the galleries, archive material and outdoor spaces reward a slower visit.

Opening: Tuesday–Sunday 9:30am–5pm; last exhibition entry 4pm. Closed Mondays except Bank Holidays. From 10 November 2026 to 9 February 2027: 9:30am–4pm, last entry 3pm.
Before travelling: Exhibition tickets can be booked online or bought at reception. The memorial and Peace Gardens are free to visit; a parking charge applies.
Access: The centre aims to be accessible throughout, with wheelchairs available to borrow. Dogs are welcome on most of the site but not inside the exhibition; assistance dogs are welcome.
