OPEN GUIDE →Optional Google Analytics — added 6 September 2026
WOW uses Google Analytics 4 only after you select Accept analytics. It helps us understand visits, pages read and where visitors come from. Google receives basic page, browser and device information. Advertising features and enhanced measurement are disabled. We remove query strings and fragments from the page address sent by this installation. For campaign measurement we separately allow short campaign labels (source, medium, campaign and content) containing only letters, numbers, underscores and hyphens. We measure newsletter form submissions and confirmation-page returns, without sending your name or email address to Google. Confirmation-page measurement requires a recent form submission in the same browser and may miss confirmations made elsewhere.
The _ga and _ga_YEBL45GQ3K cookies recognise a browser for analytics; their configured lifetime is up to 6 months. With analytics permission, campaign labels are stored for the browser tab session and a newsletter submission timestamp and campaign labels may be kept for up to seven days as wow_newsletter_pending_v1, then removed on a measured confirmation or expiry check. Your accept or reject choice is stored on your device as wow_analytics_choice_v1 for up to 6 months. You can reject analytics and continue using the site, or change your choice with the Analytics cookies button. Withdrawing consent stops this installation and removes its analytics cookies on this device; it does not erase data already sent.
Google may process data outside the UK. Read Google's privacy information. Contact WOW at hello@wowlincs.co.uk with questions.
WOW email updates — updated 15 September 2026
When you submit the WOW updates form, your first name, email address and signup request are sent to Brevo to manage your subscription. You must actively tick the consent box and then confirm using the link emailed to you before joining the WOW updates list. Updates may include local events, places to visit, offers and competitions. You can unsubscribe using the link in every email. WOW does not sell your details or give your email address to local businesses. You can subscribe without accepting Google Analytics. Read Brevo’s privacy information.
The popup remembers a dismissal on your device for 30 days, or a submitted signup on that device so it does not keep appearing. This popup preference does not contain your name or email address.
