The 617 Squadron War Memorial stands in Royal Square as Woodhall Spa’s focal point for remembering the Dambusters and later members of the squadron. Seating and the adjacent public car park make it an easy first stop on a wider heritage visit.

The story continues at the Petwood Hotel’s Squadron Bar, the former Woodhall Spa Airfield memorial and Thorpe Camp Visitor Centre. Together they connect the people, aircraft and operations with the places in which the squadron lived and worked.
